Emma Francesca and Misery Guts

Gracing the wall in our front window for February is this beautiful collection of limited edition giclee art prints by Dunedin based artist, illustrator & graphic designer, Emma Francesca. Emma is popping-up as a guest artist this month at Guild.

Emma's practice tells stories that take many forms, from figurative painting, design, sculpting, animation to photography and picture book making. Her stories of altered perceptions, archetypal figures and fictitious creatures, hark back to the ancient traditions of classical fables.

A truly stunning array of A4, A3 prints and postcards are at the shop until the end of the month. Follow her online, and if you're ever in need of a local graphic designer, Emma comes highly recommended!  Contact her at http://www.emmafrancesca.net

We also have the pleasure this month to host the bright, punchy and nostalgically kitsch-cool work from Wellington based duo, 'Misery Guts' .
Misery Guts proudly produce a range of NZ made and ethically manufactured unique art based products for little humans (and big ones too). In-store favourites have been the felted NZ wool 'tush cush' and the stunning wall hangings, timber buttons and all.
Only available at Guild this February, so stop in before these beauties disappear. If you do miss them, be sure to follow these creative cats online at http://www.miseryguts.co.nz
